Mildred L. "Millie" Blosser, 82, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 12:20 a.m., Monday, May 5, 2008 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Mrs. Blosser was born September 21, 1925 in Lisbon, Ohio, the daughter of Charles F. and Hazel D. (McGarvey) Grate. Mildred was a life long area resident and a 1943 graduate of David Anderson high school in Lisbon. Mrs. Blosser attended God's Bible School in Cincinnatti, Ohio for two years. In earlier years, Mildred worked as a secretary at E.W. Bliss. She then worked as a church secretary from 1980-1987, and volunteered for 24 years for the Red Cross at Salem Community Hospital, retiring in 1989. Mrs. Blosser was a member of the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene. Mildred is survived by her husband, Virgil Y. Blosser, whom she married on August 24, 1951. Mrs. Blosser is also survived by three sons, Roger (Heidi) Blosser of Lisbon, Thomas (Mary) Blosser of Columbus and Nicholas (Mindy) Blosser of Johnson City, Tennessee; one brother, Charles S. (Florence) Grate of Salem; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One sister, Esther Holloway preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jan Winnale and Rev. Ernest Martin officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday, May 9, 2008.
