SEBRING - Mina L. "Peg" Bacon, 84, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 19 at Crandall Medical Center. Mrs. Bacon was born on June 3, 1932 in Struthers, a daughter of Edward and Marian (Suffolk) Osberg. An East Palestine High School graduate, she married Edgar Bacon on October 10, 1950 and together they raised six children. Peg last worked at the Country Corner Restaurant as a cake and pie maker for many years. With her love of gardening, she and her late husband Edgar owned and operated M & E Greenhouse. Peg has always been very active in the church; while a member of New Springfield Methodist Church, Peg was a youth group leader and enjoyed singing in the choir. She had currently been a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima. She enjoyed 21 years of being a foster parent and along with her husband, had won "Foster Parents of the Year" on more than one occasion. Peg leaves to cherish her precious memory her two daughters, Debara Satterfield and her husband Frank of East Palestine and Sandra and her husband Tom Miller of TN; her four sons, Jim and his wife Debra of Petersburg, Gary and his wife Deborah of Rogers, Keith and his wife Brenda of Lisbon, and Robert of Columbiana; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister Diane (Dallas) Carlisle of New Waterford and three brothers Richard Osberg of Hubbard, Robert (Beverly) Osberg of New Waterford and Carl (Carol) Osberg of North Lima. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edgar who passed away January 25, 2016 and a sister-in-law Pat Osberg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Avenue, North Lima, Ohio 44452 with Pastors Renae Meggitt and Bob Amey officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Peg's memory to the Mahoning County Youth Agricultural Association Edgar Bacon Memorial Fund, Attn: Kim Moff, 12014 Berlin Station Road, Berlin Center, OH 44401 or at Farmers National Bank.
