COLUMBIANA - Myrna L. Lewis, 87, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 23 at Whispering Pines in Columbiana. Mrs. Lewis was born on January 22, 1928 in Mahoning County, a daughter of Elmer and Cora (Metzler) Cullar, and was a life-long area resident. She married Albert Lewis, Jr. on October 4, 1952. Myrna was a secretary for Hunt Valve for five years and also for Mullens, which became American Standard, for five years. She then was employed at Salem Hospital as a transcriptionist in the Radiology Department. Myrna was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leetonia. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Leetonia and a past election poll worker. She leaves to cherish her precious memory two daughters, Rebecca K. Lewis of Leetonia and Marcia F. (Scott) Elliott of Illinois; two sons, Albert R. (Diane) Lewis III of New Castle, PA and Charles W. (Julie) Lewis of Arlington, TX; two grandchildren Meridith and Emily Lewis of Arlington, TX; and two great grandchildren Trevor and Karlyn Maslyk. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who passed away October 5, 1992, two sisters Wanda Horst and Verna Cullar, and two infant children. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery Chapel, Leetonia with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service, at noon, at the Oakdale Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Myrna's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 29 Spruce Street, Leetonia, OH 44431. The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
