NORTH LIMA – Patricia Minteer, 79, of Columbiana, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 9, 2018 at Caprice Health Care Center in North Lima surrounded by her sister and brother.

Patricia was born on March 21, 1938, in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of John Franklin and Martha Mae (Colwell) Minteer. She graduated from Union Township High School in New Castle, PA and worked at Salem Hospital from which she retired from in 2003.    She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her friends at Columbiana Manor, and her doll collection was her pride and joy.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Shirley Miller of Bedford, PA and Martha Rae (Dennis) Kantanen of Casa Grande, AZ; a brother, John (Rosella) Minteer of Youngstown; nephews Randy (Laura) Miller, Chad (Christie) Minteer, Brian Minteer and Dennis Kantanen; niece Beth (Jim) Healey; great nephews Kyle (Erin) Miller, James Minteer and Zachary Kantanen; great nieces Tracy Miller, Bailey, Summer and Hannah Kantanen;  and great-great nephews Cole and Carson Miller.

Patricia will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.  She had a special cousin, Justine (Todd) Berkey and her two daughters Kaylin and Reagan with whom she shared many holidays.  She enjoyed going to all their sporting events and cheering on their teams.  A special friend, Toni Gibson, was like another sister to her, and they enjoyed many happy days together.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Milton Miller.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 1:00 pm at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana with Pastor Fritz Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at noon, an hour before the services at the funeral home.
