Paul F. Oberer, 75, of 47957 Tomahawk Drive, Negley, Ohio, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on August 14, 2009 at the Hospice House in Poland. He was born November 21, 1933 in Chillicothe, OH. The son of the late Paul Frank Oberer and Romaine (Long) Oberer, Bennett. Mr. Oberer owned and operated Paul & Co. in Arnold, PA and Barbs Party Store in New Kensington, PA. He retired in 1996. Paul enjoyed playing scrabble, music, fishing, boating, traveling, painting as an artist and was a wine connoisseur. Paul is survived by his wife Barbara (Trzeciak) Oberer, whom he married December 30, 1972. He is also survived by four sons, Paul A. (Judy) Oberer of Monroeville, PA, Karl R. Oberer of Highland, MI, John E. (Marji) Oberer of Troy, MI, Dr. Reid T.W. (Judy) Oberer of Bolder, CO; three daughters, Lisa (Richard) Erb of Grand Rapids, MI, Kristin Grace of Seattle, WA, Regina (Kevin) Ryan of Harmony, PA; one brother, Ned W. (Sandy Zane) Bennett of Santa Fe, NM; one step-sister, Bonnie Othling of Orlando, FL; and 14 grandchildren. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that material contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association.
