AUSTINTOWN – Richard A. "Bob" Fry, 72, of Austintown passed away Tuesday evening, August 15 at The Woodlands at AustinWoods following an extended illness.

Bob was born on September 17, 1944, in Youngstown, a son of Vernon and Edith (Price) Fry. He worked for 40 years as the groundskeeper at the Fonderlac Country Club. He enjoyed putting model cars together, meeting his friends for coffee, and spending time with family.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his two daughters, Chrissy (Shawn) McCarthy and Valerie Fry, all of Austintown; his granddaughter Naveah Shaffer, and sisters Georgia Perrett of Struthers and Beverly Arthur of Augusta, Ga.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Shirley (Oris) Beight and Joann McGinnis and brothers Donald Fry and Vernon "Sonny" Fry Jr.

Per Bob's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at a later date.

The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
