Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home 154 S. Elm Street P.O. Box 1 Columbiana, Ohio 44408 Richard F. Forney, 77, of 129 N. Pearl St. Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at his winter residence in Lakeland, Florida, of an apparent heart attack. Richard was born on July 30, 1928 in Columbiana, Ohio, the son of Russell and Verna Lipp Forney. He was a life-long area resident of Columbiana. Richard was a meat cutter for 39 years for the A&P store in East Palestine, Ohio. He retired in 1986. He attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana. He also had attended Fairfield School. He was a member of United Food Commercial Workers and he enjoyed woodworking and collecting pocket knives. He is survived by his wife, the former A. Irene Harp, whom he married July 17, 1948; two daughters Mrs. Sue Joyce of Columbus and Linda Lattea and her husband Lucky of Newton Falls, Ohio; a sister Mrs. Ruth Thompson of Alliance, Ohio; three grandchildren Christine Cross, Patrick Joyce and Stephanie Joyce and two great-grandchildren Travis and Alexis Cross. He was preceded in death by two brothers Russell and Dean Forney. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Fr. Thomas Ziegler officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 pm on Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana.
