Obituary

Richard Bradley Mitcheltree, 76, passed away Feb. 22, after a lengthy illness. He was the son of Roger and Lucy (Johnson) Mitcheltree of West Middlesex, Pa. He graduated from West Middlesex High School, and was a member of the West Middlesex United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean conflict, owned and operated a barbershop in West Middlesex for a number of years, and retired from General Motors as a supervisor. In retirement, he trained and raced Standardbred harness horses with his father-in-law, Phillip Bartholomew of Greenfield, Pa. He was a beloved husband to Jo Lene (Bartholomew) Mitcheltree for 53 years; an adored father of daughters, Lori (Dow) Davis of Austintown and Lisa (Doug) Groft of Aiken, S.C.; son Bradley (Kim) Mitcheltree of Hudson; grandchildren Jim (Megan) Feaster, Matthew (Sarah) Feaster, Kathleen Mitcheltree and Ryan Mitcheltree; and great-grandchildren Gabrielle and Mason Feaster. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Patricia Mitcheltree and Nancy (Mitcheltree) Keck; and nephews Roger Taylor and Stephen Keck. A memorial service will be held at the Grace Church, 140 S. Main St., Columbiana, OH 44408 on Monday, Feb. 27. Family and friends will be received at 11 a.m. and a memorial service will be held at noon, with a luncheon immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Attention: Tribute Department, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
