WASHINGTON, PA - Robert Argyle Unger joined his beloved wife, Phyllis, in heaven on June 21, 2016. He was born in New Waterford, Ohio to Lester and Mabel Unger on December 5, 1926. Robert was the owner and operator of Unger and Son Upholstery until his retirement. Robert and Phyllis were blessed with two sons, who survive them, Robert Lester Unger of East Palestine, Ohio and Daniel J. Unger of Washington, Pa. His daughters in law, Ellen (McGath) Unger and Karen (Sargent) Unger were privileged to share their lives with this loving family. The union of Bob and Phyllis produced two sons, six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Surviving is a brother, Donald Unger of New Waterford, Ohio, and a sister, Janis Sutherin of North Lima, Ohio. Visitation on Monday, June 27 from 10 am to 11am will be at the Seederly-Mong Beck Funeral home in Columbiana Ohio. Services provided by Pastor Mark McTrustry of Sentinary United Methodist Church of East Palestine will immediately follow the visitation and Interment will be at the New Waterford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Robert's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
