POLAND - Rolland Ralph Reash, 79, passed away Saturday evening, January 23 at the Hospice House in Poland. Rolland was born on January 2, 1937, at home in Columbiana, a son of William and Freida (Mockerman) Reash. A 1955 Fairfield School graduate, he joined the U.S. Army in 1960. He was stationed in Germany and earned the Good Conduct Medal prior to being discharged in 1962. He married the former Shirley Ann Pittman on October 26, 1963. Rolland retired from GM-Lordstown in 2004 where he had worked as a die maker. He enjoyed his vegetable garden, bowling with his brothers in earlier years, and golfing a couple of days a week. He coached little league for 11 years in Columbiana. But most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. Rolland is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; daughter Paula Pahanish and her husband Ronald of Leetonia; sons Rolland Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Middleburg, FL and Scott of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Ashley (Kyle) Conway of Kingston Heights, FL, Joseph (Lilian) Pahanish of Leetonia, Kimberly (Camrin) Datillio of Salem, and Dean Pahanish of Leetonia; great-grandchildren Brooke, Kylar, Kindal and Braylen Conway, William Pahanish, and Blake Miliken-Pahanish; and siblings Raymond of Lafayette, IN, Roy (Virginia) of Boardman, Margaret (Charles) McCreary of Columbiana and Edward of Columbiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Chelsea Reash, and siblings Jack, Kenneth, William Jr., James, George, Dorothy, Mary Schwartz, Neal and Norma Nightingale. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana, and also on January 27 at 10:00 a.m., an hour before the services at the funeral home.
