Obituary

Ronald "Keith" Davison, 80, New Springfield, passed away following an extended illness at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at his home. Mr. Davison, the son of Frank and Virginia (Mays) Davison, was born on September 1, 1931 in Rockville, PA. Keith was a graduate of Mt. Jackson H.S. in 1949 from which he went to Slippery Rock State Teachers College where he earned a B.S. Degree in Education. He received his Masters Degree in economics at Youngstown State University. Keith was an instructor at Penn State University, Geneva College, Beaver County Community College, and Youngstown State University and in earlier years taught 5th grade at West Pittsburgh Elementary and also at Kirtland H.S. Keith served in the U.S. Army in the Korean war where he was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. He then went to work for Babcock & Wilcox Tube Co. from 1957-1989 as a supervisor of the Industrial Engineering Department and also served as the Wage and Salary Administrator for the Tubular Products Division. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield and also the Springfield Twp. Ruritan, where he served as the zone secretary for the Ruritan National. Keith is survived by his wife Thelma (Burkey) Davison whom he married June 20, 1953. Survivors also include three daughters, Michele (Tom) Yoder, New Springfield, Joy (John) Repasky, Peterburg, and Kathryn Miller, N. Lima, sister-in-law Sue Davison, Enon Valley, PA, and brother David (Shirley) Davison, The Villages, FL. He is also survived by grandchildren Jason (Heidi) Whitten, Coventry, OH, John (Brianna) Repasky, Summerville, S.C., Bradley Miller, Cleveland, Krista Miller, Stow, Cara Repasky,New York, NY, Levi and Anna Miller, N. Lima, Aaron, Courtney, and Joshua Yoder, New Springfield and great grandchildren Ella, John, and Sophia Repasky, Summerville, S.C. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, James, and William. Services will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Springfield at 11 a.m. with Rev. Aimee Raymond officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday March 18, 2012 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, North Lima, and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with military honors will take place at Petersburg Cemetery.
