North Lima, Ohio, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2006 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown from complications of Cancer. He was diagnosed in February 2006. Ronald was born on February 19, 1969 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of Ronald H. Grate, Sr. and the late Sandra Davis Grate. Mr. Grate was a life-long area resident. He worked for Falcon Transport as a truck driver on a local route to Lordstown. He had driven a truck for over six years. He previously owned and operated J&R Nursery of North Lima for 20 years. He was a member of the Western Reserve Baptist Church and a graduate of Boardman High School in 1986. Survivors include his father Ronald and step-mother Joanne of North Lima; his paternal grandmother Ruth Grate of South Carolina; a sister Rochelle Cole of North Lima; a brother Douglas Cole and his wife Jennifer of Dayton, Ohio and two nieces and a nephew. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Western Reserve Baptist Church in Boardman, Ohio with Rev. Wayne Gregory officiating. Friends and family are encouraged to donate to the Ronald H. Grate Funeral Fund established at the Farmers National Bank at the Boardman Western Reserve Branch.
