Columbiana – Rosa Barbaradine Cress, 80, of Columbiana, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Mary's Alzheimer Center in Columbiana.

Mrs. Cress was born on July 7, 1945, in East Liverpool, OH, a daughter of Elbert L. and Pauline (McFalls) Ferguson. A 1963 West Beaver High School graduate, she married William Edward Cress on September 26, 1970, at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Beaver, PA.  Rosa was a member of the Leetonia Mennonite Church.  She worked at Tuscarora Plastics in New Brighton, PA as a press operator, Franklin Furniture in Columbiana, and Hope Manufacturing in Leetonia.

Rosa leaves to cherish her precious memory, her husband William; son William Elbert (Mary) Cress of TN; daughters Pamela Jean (Art) Matheny of Columbiana and Carrie Eileen Raymond of Leetonia; and grandchildren Bruce and Johnathan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Elbert Jr., who passed away October 12, 1946.

Private services were held, and burial was at Columbiana Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Rosa's name to the Leetonia Mennonite Church, 764 Columbia St., Leetonia, OH 44431 and the Susan J. Komen Foundation, DIY Dept. 41829, PO Box 801889, Dallas, TX, 75380.

The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
