Obituary

POLAND - Ryan "Beef" Kyle, 45, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, May 5, at Hospice House, surrounded by family. Ryan battled long and courageously with diabetes and kidney failure. He was born in Youngstown on May 29th, 1969, to Richard and Bonnie Kyle. When Ryan was in 6th grade the family moved to Columbiana and opened the Pizza Bowl. He later graduated from Columbiana High School in 1987. Ryan went on from high school to Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he was chosen as president of the student government during his first year. He later went on to work at an alternative school for juveniles, for whom Ryan was a great mentor and role model. One of Ryan's greatest passions was coaching. He first began coaching baseball when he was 18, and then moved on to a variety of different coaching positions including Jr. High football for United Local and Leetonia. But his greatest love of coaching came from coaching the Crestview Little Rebels football team. He loved teaching the game's fundamentals to younger players, and Coach Beef taught them a little about life along the way, too. In addition to coaching, Ryan was also passionate and knowledgeable about firearms, which he loved to target shoot with his best friend, John Zopelt and spending time with his best friend Rachel Yokley. He was passionate about his dogs and his horses. Ryan loved the outdoors and was always known for living life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Jewel and his Aunt Sherri. Ryan is survived by his wife, Lauren Kyle; mother Bonnie Kyle; father Richard Kyle; son Kane Kyle; brother Richard (Kathy) Kyle; niece Avery Kyle; nephew Colton Kyle; and cousins Dave, Danny, and Mardell Halas. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 9 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana, with Pastor Pam Price officiating. Friends may call Friday May 8 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana from 5:00 - 8 :00 p.m., and also at 10 a.m. on Saturday, one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions may be made in Ryan's memory to his son, Kane Kyle's college fund. Contributions can be sent in care of Lauren Kyle to 339 South Main Street, Columbiana, OH 44408. The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
