COLUMBIANA – Sue A. Smith, 70, of Columbiana, passed away Sunday morning, in the loving arms of her husband on March 31, 2024, at her home.

Sue was born on August 4, 1953, in Salem, a daughter of William James and Marjorie Howley (Harrold) Hum. A Columbiana High School graduate, Sue was a ward secretary at Salem Community Hospital and Cape Coral Hospital.  She married Dale Smith on July 1, 2000. Sue loved fried egg rolls and writing and enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren most of all.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband Dale; daughter Sarah Drye and son Dennis Drye; three grandchildren Caleb Drye, Leila Worden and Justin Drye; and siblings William John Hum, Nancy Lou Hum Weikart, and Robert James Hum.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7240 Lisbon Road, Lisbon, Ohio, with Bishop Wade Tracy officiating.

The family suggests donations may be made to the family to help defray medical expenses.
