Thelma J. Freeburg, 77, of North Lima, passed away at 12:05 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2007 at her home, following a three month illness. Thelma was born on July 20, 1930 in Grove City, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Merle and Ethel (Shaffer) Rogers Thelma resided in Farrell, Pennsylvania during her school years and then moved to Woodworth in 1949. She was a homemaker and a member of the Martin Luther, Lutheran Church of Youngstown and in previous years a member of the Boardman band boosters. Thelma enjoyed the Atlanta Braves, her pets and crocheting. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Elmer L. Freeburg on December 13, 2004, whom she married on July 20, 1949. Thelma is survived by two daughters: Cathie (Al) Noble of Boardman and Debbie Rolston of Boardman; two sons: Gary Freeburg of San Diego, California and Richard Freeburg of Lake Placid, New York; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Thelma was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Rogers. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima. Visiting hours will be on Monday, December 3, from 5-7 p.m. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima. Burial will be in North Lima Cemetery. The family suggests that material tributes be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
