BOARDMAN - Thomas Raymond Troll, Jr., 81, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at the Hospice House.

Born on December 3, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, Tom was the son of Thomas Raymond and Anna Marie Seidler Troll Sr. He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1961 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Youngstown State University in 1977. His career in engineering began in 1964 and spanned over 16 years, during which he worked with various organizations from Warren to Pittsburgh. He also held the role of a sales engineer, where he built relationships with steel mills and UPMC. In 1980, he became the President and CEO of Kentrol, Inc., a company he founded that designed and manufactured four-wheel drive accessories, particularly for Jeeps, Broncos, and International Scouts, which were distributed internationally. Thomas also served his country with honor in the Army, stationed in Germany from 1968 to 1969.

On April 23, 1976, Tom married the love of his life, the former Carol J. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Martha Garasic.

Thomas was an active member of the community, holding membership in the Brother Allen Masonic Lodge #276 and the Shriners in Youngstown.
