Tracy C. Powell, age 91, passed away on October 13, 2017.  He was born near Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and graduated from high school there.  He enlisted in the Navy and served mainly in the South Pacific in World War II.  Upon discharge, he came to Columbiana and started an appliance and sweeper repair shop with his brother.  He obtained a banking degree from the Ohio University and had a career in banking spanning 30 years with several institutions in Columbiana.  He was a 60-year Mason and was active in various community projects.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death and is now together again with his wife of 60 years, Twila. Tracy is survived by his children:  son David of North Olmsted, and daughter Jane (Nevin) Yoder and granddaughter Codi Yoder of Salesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Tracy, to the Lake to River Chapter of The American Red Cross (for Hurricane Maria victims) www.redcross.org.
