Virginia E. Readshaw, 88, of Sebring, formerly of Andover, passed away Tuesday, September 27, at Salem Community Hospital. Virginia was born on March 19, 1923, in Enon Valley, Pa., a daughter of Lawrence A. and Bessie E. (Rohrbaugh) Kibler. A 1941 graduate of Leetonia High School, Virginia worked for the Lockheed Corporation as an assembler of the P-38 aircraft during WWII. She had also worked for A&P of Columbiana. Virginia had devoted many hours of service to her churches. She was a past member of the Leetonia First United Methodist Church, where she wed her husband, the Canfield First United Methodist Church for 15 years, the Salem First United Methodist Church for 7 years, the Andover First Uniterd Methodist Church for 35 years, and more recently, a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteering at various church-related activities, cooking numerous Rotary Club meals. Virginia also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her sons. Virginia leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William, whom she married November 10, 1943; her sons, William (Donna) of Salem, Craig also of Salem, Kevin (Kandee) of Baldhead Island, N. C. and Brian (Nancy) Lane of Andover; her grandchildren, William (Kristy) Readshaw, Amy (Scott) Noris, Brandon (Abby) Readshaw, Craig (Kristen) Readshaw, Tricia (Jacob) Watson, Kristopher (Barbie) Readshaw, and Kimberlee (Rod) Vedder; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Smith. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Robert Amey officiating. Burial will be at Columbiana Cemetery. The family requests that any material contributions be made to the Damascus United Methodist Church Mission's Program.
