Box 1 Columbiana, Ohio 44408 330-482-3788 Vivian Jean Logan, 88, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 7:55 a.m. at the Whispering Pines Assisted Living Nursing Home on Monday, September 24, 2007 following an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Logan was born on August 30, 1919 in East Palestine, Ohio, the daughter of William and Agnes (Duer) Oliver. Vivian was employed at the Joshua Dixon Elementary School in Columbiana as a cook for fifteen years. She was a 1937 graduate of East Palestine High School and a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana and Fancy Walkers. Mrs. Logan enjoyed volunteering at Salem Community Hospital and was recognized as a Hometown Hero on Channel 33 at age 81, for her service at the hospital and other community services for the elderly. Vivian was also an avid bowler. Mrs. Logan was preceded in death on January 15, 1993 by her husband, Harold L. Logan, whom she married on June 30, 1937. Vivian is survived by two daughters; Joy (Kevin) Noll of Cortland and Sally (Clyde) Davis of Columbiana, three sons; Jack (Charlotte) Logan of Columbiana, Thomas (June) Logan of Canfield and Barry Logan of Youngstown. Mrs. Logan is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Vivian was the last of a family of eight. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Mr. Clarence Mansfield officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the Funeral Home. The family suggests that material tributes may be made to the First Christian Church of Columbiana, 39 Cherry Street, Columbiana, Ohio 44408. Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
