Obituary

SALEM- Vivian Louise Mahon, age 90, of Columbiana, OH passed away on July 26, 2016 at Salem Regional Hospital after being in Community Hospice for one day. Vivian was the daughter of Presley and Helen (Johnson) Wilson. She was born September 16, 1925 in Salem, OH. She was well-known to many people over 37 years as the owner of Vivian's Antiques and Collectibles on Main Street in Columbiana. Her passion was attending auctions in the area and was known for her unique style of collecting. She collected numerous friends, as well as antiques, throughout her many years in retail. She attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leetonia. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Mahon, a sister Miriam Rance and a brother-in-law Jack Rance. She is survived by a granddaughter, Heather Mahon, who resides in Florida. As to her wishes, there will be no service or funeral. Plans for a celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Vivian's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 29 Spruce St, Leetonia, OH 44431 or Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663. The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
