Obituary

COLUMBIANA - William D. Dailey, 74, passed away suddenly early Tuesday afternoon, March 3 at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown. He was born on April 29, 1940 in Columbiana, the son of William and Estella (McCoy) Dailey. A graduate of Columbiana High School, he married the former Evelyn Klepfer on March 29, 1967. Bill worked for Heck's Restaurant of Columbiana as a cook in his younger years. He was employed by Federated Frozen Foods in Columbiana, and at E.W. Bliss in Salem as Tool Room Attendant for over 20 years. Later he became a security guard at the A T & T building in Youngstown. A long-time member of Columbiana Church of Christ, Bill enjoyed taking care of his yard and flowers. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays. His passion was spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Evelyn; his daughter Tammy Gamble and her husband Tim of Columbiana and his son Greg Dailey and his wife Jenny of Bessemer, PA; grandchildren Olivia, Mackenzi, Brandon, Elizabeth, Miranda (Jake) Mason, Marisa, Maria, and Mikayla; his brothers Edward, James, and Robert of Columbiana and Harry (Donna) of Salem; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Gerianne Klepfer of Bessemer, as well as many other family members and friends. William was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 South Elm Street, Columbiana, OH with Pastor Gary Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Columbiana Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Santuccio Ricciardi and Dr. Scott Tofil for their caring attention, and to St. Elizabeth emergency room and ICU departments for the care that was shown to Mr. Dailey.
