Obituary

Wilma Lehman Blosser, 101, of Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana, OH, passed away at 2:18 am Wednesday, October 19, 2011, due to infirmities of age. Mrs. Blosser, the daughter of Edwin C. and Mary (Basinger) Lehman, was born on March 28, 1910 in North Lima, Ohio. Wilma was a graduate of Goshen College and had worked as a teacher for North Lima for seventeen years and as a fourth grade school teacher for Boardman Elementary for twenty years from where she retired. She was a member of the Ohio retired teachers association and did volunteer service at Mennonite Central Committee, Akron,PA, and Gulfport Mississippi, where she taught bible school to underprivileged children. She was a member of the Midway Mennonite Church where she was a Sunday school teacher superintendent and also the bible school superintendent for many years, and enjoyed traveling around the world. Mrs. Blosser was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Blosser, who passed February 15, 1998. They were married November 7, 1981. Wilma is survived by step daughter, Mrs. Rosetta (Ernest) Martin, Columbiana, step son, Virgil Blosser, Columbiana, sister, Mrs Flossie Yoder, Goshen, IN, and brother John(Margaret) Lehman, Goshen, IN. She is preceded in death by step daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Heindel, sisters Mrs. Grace Huebert, Mrs Elva Yoder, Mrs. Hazel Schmucker, and Mrs Esther Miller. She leaves many nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana, and one hour prior to service at Midway Mennonite Church, Service time is 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at the Midway Mennonite Church with Dan Coburn assisted by Ernest Martin officiating. Burial will be at the Midway Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Midway Mennonite Church.
