Aidan Jack Wollman

NEW SPRINGFIELD – Aidan Jack Wollman, 13, of New Springfield, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center Saturday evening, October 23, 2021 from injuries sustained due to a hit and run incident.

Aidan was born on April 9, 2008 in Youngstown, a son of Jerry and Melissa (Raub) Wollman. Currently in the eighth grade at Columbiana Middle School, Aidan ran track, played soccer with CASA (Columbiana Area Soccer Association), and participated in Upwards when he was younger, he also was looking forward to joining the wrestling team this season.  He was also in the school choir.  Aidan loved playing video games with his brothers Aaron and Austin, going four-wheeling, being outdoors, riding his bike and hanging out with his friends.  He was very artistic, had a great sense of humor, a smile that could light up a room, hugs for everyone, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Aidan leaves behind his parents, his brothers Aaron and Austin, at home; half-sister Skye (Adam) Gnagy and nephew Colton of Meyersdale, PA; maternal grandmother Patricia Ayers of New Middletown; maternal step grandmother Ann Raub of Canfield, uncle George (Betsy) Raub of Poland, aunt Cathi (Sean) Carney of Columbiana, uncle Damon Raub of Columbiana, aunt Arlette (Ron) Bellar of Lawton, OK; uncle Ron Evans of Mesquite, TX; cousins Denise, Miranda, Liam, Jack and Finn; and his dog Maggie May.

The family is eternally grateful to all first responders on the scene, Salem Regional Medical Center, Columbiana Exempted Schools and the entire community who has stood behind them and supported them through this tragedy.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather George Raub Sr., paternal grandmother Lavara Wollman and aunt Dorraine Evans.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, 330 N. Elm St., Columbiana, with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 2-6 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, prior to the service.
