Bernard Ray Smith

August 17, 1933-November 26, 2025

Bernard Ray Smith of Leetonia passed away during the early morning of November 26, 2025. In his final days, Bernard was surrounded by family, who shared memories and thanked their dad/grandpa/great grandpa for loving, providing and being present throughout their lives. Bernard and his wife, Joann, grew a beautiful family: 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren, all of whom loved and admired him.

Bernard loved farming, drinking iced tea on the farmhouse porch, and celebrating everyday life with his family. He was a faithful man who loved Jesus and lived his life with humility and grace. Bernard lived to be 92 years old, strong until the end when his weakened heart gave way to peace.

His immediate family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
