North Lima - Carol J. Troll, 82 passed away peacefully Monday morning May 18. She was born February 10, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Stephen F and Mary Lou Yurick Garasic.

After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1962, she received a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University. She taught second grade in the Youngstown City School system for 32 years and worked for four years for Youngstown City Court. Carol was a member of St. Matthis Church, its Ladies Guild and Infant Jesus of Prague Guild. Later in life she was an active member of Saint Carlo Acutis Parish-St. Jude Church in Columbiana.

She loved to play cards, games of chance, gamble, and tell jokes. Her husband Thomas Rayomd Troll whom she married April 23, 1976, passed away January 15, 2025. Her favorite place to visit with Tom was always Las Vegas.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers Tom (Martha Irene) Garasic and Charles (Liz) Garasic, brothers-in-law Charles (Trish) Troll and Robert (Cecilia) Troll, many nieces, nephews and dear friend Dee Tripp, for whom she will miss dearly. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Seederly Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 South Elm Street, Columbiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated By Rev Chad Johnson at 10A.M. Saturday May 23, 2026, at Saint Carlo Acutis Parich-St. Jude Church, Columbiana. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Carol’s caregiver, Tanya, and the compassionate staff at the Hospice House for their exceptional care.
