Elizabeth Ann 'Betty' (Mollenkopf) Ross

POLAND – Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Ross, 81, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 18, 2024, at Hampton Woods. Betty was born on July 16, 1943, in Boston, MA, a daughter of Edward and Ada (Harris) Mollenkopf.

She retired from Ron Joy Nursing Home, where she worked as a cook. In earlier years, Betty lived in the North Lima area, and later moved to Struthers. She enjoyed bingo and reading.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son Mark E. Ross; daughter-in-law Kathy Ross; sisters Becky Simon, Kathy Stevens, and Cindy (Larry) LeMaster; brother James Mollenkopf; and grandson Jonathan Eric Ross, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Dale W. Ross, Sr. and Gary Lee Ross, sister Bonnie Demato, brother George Mollenkopf, brothers-in-law Thomas Simon and Richard Stevens, and grandson Dale W. Ross, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at 2:00 pm at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., an hour before the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in Betty’s memory to Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD), 4791 Woodridge Drive, Austintown, OH 44515.
