LISBON – Janet Darlene Armstrong, 84, passed away Saturday evening, March 21, 2026, at her home in Lisbon surrounded by her family.
Janet was born on October 8, 1941, in Jamestown, NY, a daughter of Dave and Bernice (Fuller) White. She graduated from Southwestern High School in Lakewood, NY, and married Frank Armstrong on July 8, 1962. After meeting on a blind date, they celebrated 63 years of marriage last July.
Janet was a bowling alley manager at one time, and established ‘Mystic Lazer,’ a laser cutting and engraving company, where she worked for 13 years.
Janet was a great bowler, and won often in her beloved casinos. She was also the Crestview Band flag line coordinator in the 1980s.
She was a member of Christ the King Anglican Church in Columbiana.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Frank; two children Deanne (James) Engel of Lisbon and Scott (Fiancée Angie) Armstrong of Columbiana; five grandchildren, Zachary, Patrick and Benjamin Taylor and Taylor (Taylor) Bush and Jack Armstrong; four great-grandchildren, Julia, Thomas, Violet and Abigail; step-brother James White; and sister-in-law Rubyann White.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and brother Martin White.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 am at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana, with Father John Harris officiating.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., an hour before the services at the funeral home.
Entombment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made in Janet’s memory to Angels for Animals, 4750 W South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
