Jon R. Woods

Columbiana, OH --Jon Raymond Woods, 69, of Columbiana, OH, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Jon was born September 6, 1955, in Salem, a son of Robert and Joan Woods. He was a 1973 graduate of Columbiana High School.

On October 9, 1982, Jon married Robin Segesman. In their nearly 42 years of marriage, Jon and Robin devoted their lives to raising their children.

Jon was a machinist by trade, spending many years self-employed as a machinist and tool grinder and later as a machinist at Hunter Lift, Ltd. in North Lima before retiring in 2015.

Jon loved to spend time with his family and friends, play with his granddaughters, read the newspaper, and share a good cup of coffee with others. He loved to visit Geneva-on-the-Lake with Robin in the summer. Jon was also a car enthusiast and collected HO model trains.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Jon is survived by his wife, Robin, son Kurtis of Columbiana, and daughter Katie (Nick) Martin and granddaughters Margaret and Gabriella of Salem. In addition, he is survived by his brother Robert (Carol) Woods of Lisbon, sister Barbara (Fred) Karboski of Las Vegas, NV, and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held for the family.
