Larry J. Kerr, 69, of North Lima, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 13th at Hospice House. He was born July 15, 1949 to the late William and Maxine (Snyder) Kerr. He married the former Karren White on May 1, 1987 and together they raised two children.
Larry was a machinist at Parker Hannifin. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. Larry served as the leader of Troop #80 and as a Whispering Pines Commissioner. He enjoyed cutting gemstones and making jewelry and was a member of the East Ohio Lapidary Club. Mr. Kerr was also a former Beaver Township Park Board member. Larry liked old cars and was very proud of his Jeep Scrambler. But his greatest love was his family, especially granddaughter Skylar who was his “Sweetie Pie”.
He is survived by his wife Karren, his children Brian Kerr of North Lima and Julie (fiancé David Johnson) Kerr of Boardman, his beloved granddaughter Skylar, and his sister Joyce (Jeff) Ziegler of North Lima.
Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his parents and siblings William and Linda Kerr.
The Kerr family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Monday evening, June 17 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home 11500 Market St., North Lima Ohio 44452.
Larry’s family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and staff on 6W at Mercy Health Boardman and also the Hospice House for their compassion and kindness during Larry’s time of need.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd, Poland, Ohio 44514, in Larry’s name.
