Michael D. Swantek

NORTH LIMA – Michael D. Swantek, 74, of Columbiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, June 7, at Caprice Healthcare Center in North Lima.

Michael was born on Nov. 7, 1943, a son of the late George and Anna (Vansuch) Swantek. 

He was a family man. Michael loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his wife, Carolyn “Carol” (Gillespie); children Michael R., Jonna, Jason, Dawna, Steven and Michael; his siblings, George (Martha Jean) Swantek, Andrew (Theresa) Swantek, Paul Swantek, Joe (JoAnn) Swantek, MaryAnn (Gabe) Masi and Larry (Irene) Swantek; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Patricia; and brother John Zavatchin. 

Per Michael’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
