Paul R. McCue

SALEM – Paul R. McCue, 89, passed away unexpectedly at Salem Regional Medical Center early in the morning of Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Paul was born on August 9, 1928 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of Floyd and Muriel (Richardson) McCue. A Mount Pleasant High School graduate, Paul joined the U.S. Army in 1950. Upon discharge, he married the former Mildred Loveland on April 3, 1954.  Paul worked at Canfield Lumber, American Fire Clay in Canfield, Franklin Furniture in Columbiana, and retired from Leebaw Manufacturing in Canfield where he was a shop foreman.  He was of the United Methodist faith, and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in North Lima for many years.

Paul was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed camping and woodworking.  He enjoyed being a part of the neighborhood card club.  Along with his wife and family, he traveled much of the United States, including Alaska.  He was a devoted member of the Greenford Ruritan Club for over 30 years.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Paul leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife Mildred, his three sons Harold and his wife Cindy of Columbiana, Gordon and his wife Norma of Salem and Ward and his wife Jody of Kent; nine grandchildren, Keesha McCue, Kaylin (Brad) McClaugherty, Corrie, Rebecca, Seth, Nathan, Brittany, Alex and Nate McCue and two great grandchildren Jayla and Nechine.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings George, Ward, Harry, Mary, and Olive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave, North Lima, OH 44452, with Pastor Renae Megitt officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church and again at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday January 31, an hour before services.
