Sandra L. (Pierson) Sell

COLUMBIANA – Sandra L. Pierson Sell, 66, of Columbiana, passed away at Salem Hospital on Friday, October 4, 2024, after valiantly fighting cancer for 18 years.

Sandy was born on October 11, 1957, in Albuquerque, NM, a daughter of Franklin B. and Wanda J. (Robinson) Pierson. A Champion (Warren, OH) High School graduate, she married Raymond Sell and together they raised two sons.  She was a member of the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene.

Sandy enjoyed travelling and was proud to say she had visited all 50 states.  She was well loved, still meeting with friends from high school and from all over.  She managed Curves in East Palestine at one time, and she knew all of her clients.  She lived for her grandchildren, and was the last one to leave a party, because she had to stay and do the dishes.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Sandy leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband Ray, her sons Bradley (Ashley) Sell and Gregory (Amber) Sell, grandchildren Annabelle, Dawson, Winnifred, Roxlyn, and Penelope, her mother-in-law Vivian Sell-Culler and many great friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Franklin, who passed away June 1, 2024, her mother Wanda, who passed away June 8, 2016, and her daughter Amanda.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Columbiana Church of the Nazarene, 330 N. Elm St., Columbiana, with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. and also on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene, 330 N. Elm St., Columbiana, OH  44408.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene.
